Welcome to the Medical University of South Carolina Employee Assistance Program (MUSC EAP) resource page for Managers and Human Resource professionals. MUSC EAP wants to help Human Resources and Managers utilize our services as one of their most constructive management tools. Managers often spend a great deal of time on their difficult employees or challenging workplace dynamics. Mental health, substance abuse and personal issues greatly impact employee productivity resulting in increased errors, accidents, absenteeism and difficulty getting along with co-workers. This eventually affects the overall morale of the workgroup. MUSC EAP offers a confidential, effective and compassionate way for managers to help troubled employees though their consultation, counseling and referral services. Team building and crisis management services are available for workgroups who need to improve productivity, communication and harmony.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION
Human Resources, Supervisors and Administrators are welcome to consult with our Risk Management team and counselors if they have concerns about an employee’s work performance, mental health or possible substance abuse problem. We will work with you to develop an approach for dealing with the issue.
